On Our Show: Tuesday, 25 May 2010

Join Nick, Kat, Josh and Alex from 9am-noon, Tuesday on Joy94.9’s ‘All That False Instruction”. We talk about the outrageous 14 year prison sentence of a gay couple in Malawi. After holding an engagement ceremony, the laws dating from European colonialism were used to persecute them.

We poor scorn on Channel 7 for their homophobic outing of NSW MP David Campbell.

There is a new play called Half A Person: My Life As Told By The Smiths. We chat with the playwright about the influence of this 80s indie band on queer culture.

Nick interviews Nick Betson about the Computer Bank program which provides computers to disadvantaged people. They have just lost their funding? Why?!

National Sorry Day is coming up this week—there are plenty of events to check out that raise awareness about the ongoing racism against Aboriginal people in Australia.

There has been crazy homophobic vandalism at ANU, we’ll find out what’s been going on with that.

And The Pope, he’s at it again! He’s calling gay marriage ‘insidious and dangerous’. Why the latest attack on gays and women? It’s got something to do with Portugal.

Don’t worry, we have 3 hours! It will be chatty.
